Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

  1. Review your dental and medical history forms
  2. Provide a complete oral examination.
  3. Determine if orthodontic treatment is necessary for you.
  4. Explain to you about probable treatment options.
  5. Discuss with you about financial information and payment plans

Initial Consultation

After the consultation, we will schedule you for ORTHODONTIC RECORDS appointment. We will make impressions of your teeth, take face and teeth photographs and take special x rays and 3 D scans if recommended. Also a detailed clinical examination of your teeth, jaws, TM joints and face is performed.

These orthodontic records are carefully analyzed to chalk out precise and most beneficial orthodontic treatment plan for your needs.

During TREATMENT CONFERENCE our Orthodontists will discuss the ideal treatment plan along with any options if available, with you and address all your concerns about the treatment. The goals and objectives of the treatment are clearly laid down along with challenges and limitations in the treatment. The treatment cost and the payment plans are discussed with you.

Your orthodontic braces are carefully fixed to your teeth. This appointment takes about 60-90 min. The procedure is completely painless and our team will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

Your further appointments are generally scheduled every 6 weeks. We will make sure to give you the most convenient day and time to suit your comfort. We strictly monitor the treatment progress and work towards fulfillment of your treatment goals and objectives. Progress records are often made to evaluate, review and record the treatment progress.

Visiting Dentist

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.

Towards the end of your treatment careful refinishing evaluation and records are done to ensure that the treatment objectives are achieved. Root parallelism, functional occlusion, facial and smile esthetics etc are evaluated to ensure excellent treatment outcome and stability

Once all your Orthodontic objectives are achieved and the pre finishing evaluation shows that you now have the best possible teeth arrangement with respect to esthetics, function and stability, decision to remove your orthodontic braces is communicated to you. You will also be asked about your satisfaction with the treatment and if there is anything more you desire from the outcome of the treatment.

Removal / debonding of braces is a painless procedure when your braces are carefully removed with special pliers making sure that there is no damage to the teeth. After your braces are removed, the remnants of the orthodontic glue are removed from the teeth so that you have a smooth glossy texture of your natural teeth.

Once your appliance is removed and teeth polished, you have a sparkling white smile which you will be proud of.

Retainers will be given to you after the braces are removed. These retainers help to preserve the teeth alignment till the teeth position is stabilized. The retainers may be fixed or removable , clear or visible depending on the requirements.
